The Caribbean is well-known for its abundance of tropical flora and rare plant species. Islanders are passionate about gardening and most homes from chattel houses to bungalows consist of a garden of brightly colored flowers and plant life. No trip to the islands would be complete without a visit to one of the many botanical and public gardens. You may also participate in tours to private residences for a look at the beautiful gardens of homeowners.
The Cayman islands made its debut at the world-renowned Chelsea Flower Show 2008, and came away with a top award and rave reviews in the international media. The award-winning 'Heritage Garden' pictured above was on display by the Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Garden of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
